About Higgys Bears
I have done knitting and some sewing for as long as I can remember, mostly for my family.
It was when I was knitting a teddy bear in fluffy wool that my daughter said "Mum, why do you sit for hours and hours knitting a teddy? It must be quicker to make it on a sewing machine."
Well, the idea seemed like a good one so I thought I would give it a go. My husband bought me all the things I needed for my first bear and off I went - and I haven't stopped yet!!!
That was 4 years ago now and with the support and encouragement from all of my family, I'm still creating my bears.

My adventure was to gain momentum when I recieved the gift of a web site from my children for Mothers Day which was unbelievable, but better still, put my teddy bear creations on a worldwide stage where anyone can browse through the Higgys Bears showcase and enjoy my little works of art :) My thanks, love and my heart go to Graham, Michelle, Anthony, Nicole, Chloe, Megan and more recently little Harry - and of course my own Mum, who has never stopped encouraging me from day 1. x x x Emelia |
