A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO HIGGYS BEARS - A British Bear Artist Award 2008 Finalist

I have done knitting and some sewing for as long as I can remember, mostly for my family.
It was when I was knitting a teddy bear in fluffy wool that my daughter said "Mum, why do you sit for hours and hours knitting a teddy? It must be quicker to make it on a sewing machine."
Well, the idea seemed like a good one so i thought I would give it a go. My husband bought me all the things I needed for my first bear and off I went - and I haven't stopped yet!!!
That was a year or so ago now and with the support and encouragement from all of my family, I'm still creating my bears.
